Kuta Accommodation: Febri’s Hotel & Spa – Family Stay & Late Flight Hack!
Finding the perfect Kuta accommodation can be hard, right? It’s even harder when you have kids and a late flight. You need a comfy, easy-to-reach place that’s not too expensive. After going from Sanur to Gili and back to Sanur, our family needed one last place to stay for our final 4 nights and 5 days in Bali. We picked Febri’s Hotel & Spa Kuta Bali. And guess what? It was great, especially because we could check out at 9 PM for our 11 PM flight! If you’re looking for a good, simple Kuta accommodation, keep reading our honest story!
First Look: A Familiar, Surprising Vibe

When I walked into Febri’s Hotel, I felt something strange, like it reminded me of the past. “What kind of place is this?” I thought. It wasn’t a fancy new Bali resort. It also wasn’t like a very old Balinese home. It was a mix of things. It felt a bit like an old youth hostel and also like a simple holiday park you might find in New Zealand. This mix might not be for everyone who wants fancy things, but for a family wanting a comfy and simple Kuta accommodation, it was interesting.
Lots of Rules, But Still Relaxed?
One of the first things you’ll see at this Kuta accommodation is lots of signs with rules. “No Durian fruit,” “Be Quiet,” rules for the pool – there was a sign for almost everything. At first, I thought, “Wow, so many rules! Will this feel too strict?” But it didn’t. Many families from Western countries seemed to stay here. Maybe because of that, or because the rules were just common sense, the place felt pretty free and easy. It actually felt more organized and nice. This was a good surprise for a Kuta accommodation that didn’t cost too much.
Perfect for Our Family: The Family Room Details

We booked a Family Room. For our family of two grown-ups and two kids, it was just right. This kind of room is great if you’re looking for Kuta accommodation for a bigger family.
- Beds: One comfortable big bed (double bed) and two single beds. Everyone had their own bed, which is really helpful on a long trip.
- Space: The room was long and shaped like a rectangle. This was great for opening our suitcases and sorting our stuff without tripping. A big plus for family Kuta accommodation.
- Condition: You could see the hotel wasn’t brand new. It had an old-fashioned charm. But everything was kept very clean and nice.
- Air Conditioning: The AC was strong and worked great! We stayed cool all day and night, which you really need in hot Bali.
- Shower: The shower had a filter, and the water seemed pretty good. We were a bit worried about Bali water, so this was good to see.
- Noise: Some building work was happening next to our room. But since we were out most of the day, it didn’t bother us. We got lucky!
Finding a big and useful Kuta accommodation for families that isn’t super expensive can be hard. But Febri’s family room was good for us in many ways.
Fun in the Water: Pool & Playground Info
What’s a family holiday without some pool time?
- Swimming Pool: The main pool was a good size. But be careful if you have very young kids: most parts of it were deeper than we thought. Our kids can swim well and like deep water, so they had fun. You’ll need floaties for little kids or those who can’t swim well. It’s a nice thing to have at a Kuta accommodation at this price.
- Playground: The playground was small and cute, like ones you see at old holiday parks. It had lots of things to climb and hang on. It had a cover for shade. When we were there, it was often cloudy, so the kids could play there even in the middle of the day.
It wasn’t a giant water park, but these things made this Kuta accommodation more family-friendly.

Location is Key: Why This Kuta Accommodation is Great
If Febri’s Hotel & Spa is really, really good at one thing, it’s the location. This is a huge reason to choose any Kuta accommodation. It’s right in the middle of Kuta (or Tuban, which is part of Kuta). This means many places are easy to walk to.

Places You Can Walk To from this Kuta Accommodation:
- Discovery Shopping Mall: Great for some shopping, eating, or just cooling off.
- Lippo Mall Kuta & its big supermarket in the basement: Easy to get snacks, drinks, and anything else you need.
- Lots of small shops, nice cafes, and restaurants: So many food choices!
- Souvenir shops (like Big Gallery): Easy to buy gifts to take home.
- Waterbom Bali (water park): Kids (and grown-ups!) love it, and it’s just a short walk. Being close to this is a big plus for family Kuta accommodation.
Places a Short Drive Away (5-15 minutes) in Kuta:
- Kuta Beach & Surfing Spots: About 13 minutes by car or scooter – good for surfing or taking a surf lesson.
- Beachwalk Shopping Centre: Another good mall, about 13 minutes away.
- Krisna Oleh Oleh Souvenir Store (the best place for Bali souvenirs!): About a 15-minute drive.
- Surf Brand Outlet Stores: Find good deals, about 11 minutes away.
Most importantly for us, and probably for many travelers, Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), which you can learn more about on the official Bali Airport website, is very close. This makes Febri’s a top choice for Kuta accommodation, especially if you have an early flight out or arrive late at night.
The Best Tip for Late Flights: Don’t Get Late Checkout, Book an Extra Night!
Okay, this is our best tip from our stay, especially if you’re looking at Kuta accommodation and have a late flight. Our flight was at 11:30 PM. We paid about 3,797,392 IDR (around $240-250 USD then) for 4 nights in the Family Room (breakfast not included). We thought this was a good price for a family room in such a great spot. If you want to see more about how we find good hotel prices in Bali for our family, check out our guide on how we booked 18 nights in Bali for under $1080.
Many hotels charge a lot for late checkout, if they even let you do it. What else can you do? Carry your heavy bags around, wait in malls or cafes with tired kids, or pay for a car and driver for half a day with all your bags. Just thinking about it makes me tired.
So, we did something smart: we booked an extra night. It was the best idea ever.
We used the hotel’s pool and other things all day. We had one last swim, showered in our room, packed our bags slowly, and then checked out around 9 PM. We went straight to the airport. When we saw other travelers at the airport looking stressed and tired with all their bags, we were very happy with our plan. This trick changed our travel day from stressful to easy and relaxing. If you can afford it, think about this for your Kuta accommodation choice.
Fact Time: Did you know Kuta has millions of visitors from other countries and from Indonesia every year? This makes it one of Bali’s busiest places. It’s super close to the airport (often less than a 15-minute drive), which is why many people like it.
Family Travel Info: Many families (more than 7 out of 10) say that being close to fun things and transport is most important when they pick a place to stay on vacation.
What We Think: A Good, Smart Choice for Kuta Accommodation
So, what’s the final word on Febri’s Hotel & Spa Kuta Bali?
Good Things (Pros):
- Great Location Near Airport: Being so close to the airport and able to walk to malls, food, and Waterbom is a big win for this Kuta accommodation.
- Good Price for Family Room: Big enough for a family of four, and you get a lot for your money.
- The “Extra Night” Trick is Awesome: Perfect for late flights. It lets you stay comfy with kids until it’s time to go.
- Family-Friendly Feel: It has a pool and a small playground, so it’s good for families (just don’t expect a super fancy resort).
Not-So-Good Things (Cons):
- Not Fancy: If you want a super fancy hotel, this isn’t it. It feels more like a simple holiday park or youth hostel.
- A Bit Old: It’s kept clean, but you can tell the hotel is not new.
- Lots of Rules (Maybe): All the signs might bother some people, but we didn’t mind them.
So, if “easy to use,” “good price,” and an “amazing location” are more important to you for your Kuta accommodation than “fancy stuff,” then Febri’s Hotel & Spa is a really good and sensible pick, especially for families. It helped us enjoy our last few days in Bali without stress and without spending too much. This Kuta accommodation knows what traveling families on a budget need.
Febri’s Hotel & Spa: Your Kuta Questions Answered (FAQ)
Q1: Is Febri’s Hotel & Spa a good Kuta accommodation for families with kids?
A1: Yes, mostly because its location is great and the family rooms are a good size. It’s good for families who want something practical and easy. But if you want a fancy resort with big kids’ clubs, this might not be it. For a comfy, affordable place to stay, it’s great.
Q2: You said the pool is quite deep. Can very young children play in it?
A2: Some parts of the pool are deep, up to a grown-up’s chest. Very small kids or kids who can’t swim will need parents to watch them closely and should use floaties (like armbands). Older kids who can swim well will probably like it.
Q3: Was breakfast included? How was it?
A3: We booked our room without breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant where you can pay for breakfast, but we didn’t eat there. There are so many cafes and restaurants nearby that it was easy (and fun!) to eat out.
Q4: You said there were many rules. Did that make your stay uncomfortable?
A4: You’ll see the signs, but they are mostly about simple manners (like no bath towel in swimming pool, be quiet at night). We saw that most people followed them, which made the place feel orderly. It didn’t feel too strict to us. It was more like rules to help everyone get along at a busy Kuta accommodation.
Q5: The tip about booking an extra night for a late flight is cool. How much more did that cost?
A5: We paid 3,797,392 IDR for 4 nights. So, one of those nights was like paying for our “late checkout” day. We thought this was much better than paying extra for only a few hours of late checkout (if the hotel even allowed it). We knew we had our room until we were ready to go to the airport. It made our last day very easy.
Q6: How did you get to the airport, and how long did it take from this Kuta accommodation?
A6: We used a ride app: Grab. The trip to the airport is very short, usually 10-15 minutes, but it depends on traffic. Late at night, there was much traffic, so it took about 25 minutes. I would recommend to head off earlier.
If you’re going to Bali and need a simple, well-placed, and family-friendly Kuta accommodation, Febri’s Hotel & Spa is one to think about, especially if you use that late-flight tip!
